An ancient town with religious origins and previously the “capital” of the south east with industrial tendencies including ceramica, pearls and wine production. There is little for the traditional holidaymaker though the narrow streets are typically interesting and there are a small selection of shops etc. The environs of Felanitx are best served by the coastal resorts only a few minutes drive away to the east. The Sunday market is a definite “must see”.
