Definitely the foremost hotel in the port of Pollença, the Illa d’Or’s reputation goes back to the 1920’s. The landscape and environs of the hotel have changed out of all recognition since then, but what has not, is the hotel’s familiarity with their guests who return year on year, safe in the knowledge that this hotel sets a precedent for others island wide. As one would expect, Hotel Illa d'Or boasts all the facilities one would expect from a four star property but still manages to hang on to the Mallorcan flavour seen in the fixtures and fittings throughout the hotel. Extras that many superior hotels have long forgotten are still maintained here and include turndown service (complete with weather report for the next day!), waiter service each evening and freshly squeezed orange juice as standard at breakfast. Enjoying sweeping views across the bay and only a few metres from the beach and a stroll away from the hub the of the port, the position is first class and lends it self perfectly to a quiet holiday. All the rooms are equipped with telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar, hairdryer and bathrobe. The suites are something else and are extremely comfortable and spacious at 60sqm. The hotel's facilities include 2 saunas, jacuzzi, exercise equipment a tennis court, first class restaurant, two pools (one of which is indoor and heated in winter), gym and hair salon/beauty centre.
